Beatles sue Apple over iTunes. Oh for fucks sake, just grow up.
Had a splendid weekend apart from a bout of feeling really crappy yesterday morning and then feeling really sunburned yesterday evening. I have a bright pink nose! It has been cunningly hidden under a trowelful of make-up though. I went out Friday night and got a little tipsy and stayed out past 11 for once. I bumped into the friend who was on his stag night the other week, only now he is married and I met the missus and she's lovely. We (Matt and I) were supposed to be going to Alton Towers with them on the Saturday but the van ( a cool VW camper van that made us feel like scooby doo, except it was bright purple and was crying ut for hippah paintings of flowers on the side) was having problems so we postponed it to yesterday except the van still hadn't been fixed so we didn't go at all. We were a bit relieved about yesterday though - didn't really fancy getting up at 7.30 for the second time that weekend.
Said goodbye, on Saturday, to my good friend Liz who is leaving for Canada in a couple of weeks (cow) so she has returned to live with her parents for a bit before she goes. It was quite sad as I don't know if I'll ever see her again.
Other than that - did lots of active stuff like hillwalking, hence the sunburn, and my monitor exploded, which was nice.

I have a job interview in just over a week *wibble*. It's a job I applied for when I thought I was going to be made redundant and also ages ago so I thought they didn't like my CV. Anyway, what the hell, I'm still going to go for it - it's a bit different from what I do now although there's a bit more security to it than what I do now too. If I get it I'm not sure what I'll do. I'll have a very difficult decision to make. I think one of my redundant colleagues is also going for it so if there's any justice in this world, he'll get it and I feel a bit guilty that I'm still going for it but I'd also feel bad for not going for it, especially as I have something to stay in Aber for now. There's no saying that if I didn't go for it that he'd get it and he's more qualified for it than me anyhow.
Malcolm in the Middle featured in my dreams again last night! Unbelievable!

Well it turns out that it was porpoises, not dolphins but yay nevertheless.
So miserable. 50% of the company I work for have been made redundant. This has been looming over our heads for weeks and the not knowing who was to go and whether I'd have a job or not at the end of the months has been pretty crappy. Anyway we were all told yesterday who was to go. I survived the chop but it doesn't make me feel any better really. I had to be witness for someone else and she was made redundant and it felt awful seeing that. Especially as she is the one who has to write the redundancy letters! Also I'd have an infinitely greater chance of getting another job than her so it doesn't seem fair in that sense but I guess this isn't a charity. Feel so very down though. I hate the way the world works.
Had a nice evening last night out with friends to cheer myself up. I saw a mate that I haven't seen in months and it was good to catch up although she's still gorgeous and I still hate her because of it! (just kidding about the hate part - she's lovely) Wen't home early because all the stress is running me into the ground so it seems like I'm always tired even though surprisingly I've been sleeping ok.
I had a terrible dream last night where there were these huge worms that could sense people walking on the ground and came up at lightning speed to attack them (sound like any film you know? I hope dreams can't get sued for breach of copyright - probably can in the USA). There were also other bits that are a bit hazy now like having to rescue a kid from the clutches of an evil somethingorother and I'm sure that kid was Dewey from Malcolm in the Middle. I also had a flying machine to try to avoid these worms but it kept cutting out. It was horrible. I then dreamed that I knew I was dreaming (it wasn't one of those cool, lucid dreams because I couldn't control it) and was trying to wake up but I couldn't. That was the worst bit because I dreamed that I'd be asleep, trapped in the nightmare forever.
